Bengals promote two players to roster
On Saturday, US time, the Bengals officially announced that they have promoted two players from the training roster to the roster: veteran wide receiver Trent Taylor and defensive tackle Mike Daniels.
Daniels suffered a groin injury in the wild-card game and missed the previous two regular season games. He was named to the 2017 Pro Bowl roster with 30 sacks and over 250 tackles in his career.
On the show, Daniels said “Joe Burrow has everything that’s needed for a cornerstone quarterback.” He will be the oldest defensive player on the Bengals roster.
Taylor played in the Bengals’ final four regular-season games and the previous playoffs. He received the ball in the AL Championship and completed a 2-point conversion to help the Bengals tie the game. He also served as a kick-off and punt returner for the team.
